Self-Guided Graffiti and Street Art Tours of Boston- Mission Hill and Jamaica Plain
This tour focuses on murals visible from the street. You could do the whole thing in Street View. It takes in a couple of different Boston neighborhoods and focuses more on more traditional New York style graffiti. It begins at Roxbury Crossing T Station and ends in Hyde Square in Jamaica Plain. This is Part 2. Please see Part 1 for even more art.

HOPS,RELM,DANCE,TEAZE (RIP,) TCHUG
Getting here is easy. Whether or no you take a left or a right on Parker St. depends on where you’re starting this section of the tour. If you are doing both sections and you’re coming from the Tobin, you will cross the street and take a right on Parker St. If you’re starting at Roxbury Crossing then you will take a left. From there follow the street up the hill until you come to a convenience store called Figeuroa’s Market with a long-standing mural that wraps around both sides of the street. Featuring the Brooklyn based artist HOPS (who lived in Boston for a time,) Lynn legend RELM, DANCE, TEAZE (RIP) and TCHUG. Still running for 25+ years. -
Mississippi’s
Turn around, head down Oscar st. and then turn right on Terrace St. To your right you will see an empty lot and then… a 20+ year old mural, featuring a number of big-time graffiti writers. The lineup is heavy. It includes KEM5, RATH, PROBLAK, DEME5, CLARK, and MARKA 27. -
Jimboe, Coiner, Soems
Continue down Terrace St. To your left you will see a wall with Coiner, Soems and Jimboe. There have been many different combinations on this wall over the years. -
Justin Bieber Track Listing Mural
Continue along Terrace St. and then follow it around to the right as it becomes New Heath St. Walk around the rotary to see the Justin Bieber Track Listing Mural by DEME5 and KEM5. -
Lenox Martell- Wombat, Sly, Caine, Monk
Continue along Heath St. and to your right you will come across another decades-old mural. This one partially obscured by new development in the Lenox Martell parking lot. -
Hennigan School
Continue along Heath St. turn left on Schiller St., then right on Minden St. and you will come across a fading mural at the Hennigan school featuring another series of heavy hitters- Beyond, Syte, Ges, Kem5, Totem2 and Problak -
Marka27/Biz20
Follow Minden along as it turns into Day St. and then turn left on Creighton. Follow Creighton until you reach Centre St. Cross the street and you’ll run into a mural that is impossible to photograph- a collaboration between Marka27 and Biz20. -
Marka27/DonRimx/Problak
Follow Centre St. along until you hit the rotary. Hook around to the right and you’ll be back on Day St. Take in the final mural in the tour- a collaboration between Marka27, DonRimx and Problak
And that ends part 2. From here you can get on the 39 Bus on Huntington Ave (a long block away from the last wall) or you can follow Centre Street back the way you came to get to Jackson Square T station.
